Jupiter Fishing Report
INSHORE – You may not believe it but all the hot bites have been coming from the offshore this week. Snook are the most consistent inshore target, but don’t worry, they’re doing well into this week despite the hit or miss weather. Inlets, docks, beaches, seawalls and rivers are all holding decent fish. No matter where you go it seems you will run into some Snook. They are also not picky on bait. Our Captains and Bait Shops seem to be using a wide variety of setups and still finding plenty of success. Scattered Tarpon and Pompano can also be caught, mostly from the beach. They haven’t quite become consistent yet. We hope to see the inshore improve as the season progresses.
OFFSHORE – If you are able to make it offshore this week you will have no problem loading up on a good variety of fish that are turning up in decent sizes as well. There is no question that Dolphin are taking the prize for best fish so far this week. From Juno to Fort Lauderdale they are consistently turning up, the only difference being the depth they are found in. Once you hit your spot, troll a skirted Ballyhoo and get ready for a great bite! Anglers are also getting pumped about the upcoming full moon because you know what that means, Wahoo! They are already beginning to fire up so anglers are taking every opportunity to head to 100-300 feet of water around the Lake Worth to Deerfield areas. The occasional Sailfish and Tuna are also mixed in. When weather keeps anglers nearshore the focus has shifted to the bottom bite. Snapper and Cobia can be caught a bit closer in taking live bait. 90 feet has been a key depth to start in. There has been no shortage of options offshore this week.

INSHORE – Big Bluefish are on the beach from Blowing Rocks to the North, about 20 feet deep. They can be caught from the boats. Pompano (Pompano, Florida) are in good numbers swimming the beach from Juno North. Big Bluefish are also in the river. Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) and Ladyfish are also being caught. Snook (Snook, Common) are holding up on the jetties. They aren’t really thick but they’re becoming more active.
OFFSHORE – There has been some Blackfin (Tuna, Blackfin) with schoolie Dolphin this week. Cobia and Kings (Mackerel, King) have been caught as well. Search for them to the North in 100-110 feet of water. The bottom bite has been a bit slower overall. Sails (Billfish – Sailfish) and Wahoo have been caught but they are not consistent. Sails are around 220 feet of water. Most anglers are starting at the edge. Dolphin are coming right up to the top.
BAIT REPORT – There hasn’t been much on bait as of late. Small schools of Mullet are getting ready to fire up in the backcountry.

Jupiter Fishing Report
INSHORE – They are finally here! Better Tarpon are beginning to show up this week and anglers have long awaited to target them with the early Spring conditions. We are seeing a good variety of techniques working well to hook them from Jupiter to Fort Lauderdale however we are mostly seeing live bait as the key to hooking them. Mullet, Shrimp, Bonito slabs and Kingfish bellies are all good choices this week. We expect that they will be moving into their typical feeding spots as long as the weather stays consistent.
Snook are a great follow up fish this week. They are steadily turning up throughout the inlets and don’t seem to be too picky in terms of what they will feed on. Otherwise, anglers are heading to the beach for scattered Pompano, Whiting or Bluefish.
OFFSHORE –
If you’re heading offshore this week you’re probably out there taking advantage of the hot Dolphin bite! From Jupiter to Fort Lauderdale we are seeing success with many anglers landing good numbers of Mahi. They are scattered throughout the offshore in typical depths however live bait on the troll has been the key to catching them. Blue/white or pink/white combinations are best in terms of artificials.
There are plenty of other fish to target in the deep water as well. We are seeing nice sized Tuna turning up along with Kingfish up to almost 40 pounds. Sails are also mixed in anywhere from 100-300 feet of water. The bottom bite is producing a variety of Snapper as well, especially out of the Jupiter and Juno areas. We hope to see everything continue with the nice weather into next week.

Jupiter Fishing Report
INSHORE – If you’re heading out to the surf or the inshore this week you’ll want to look towards Jupiter as the Miami area was blown out! The wind has kept many anglers waiting for weather windows to take advantage of the bite. This week, the focus has been on Snook. Your typical areas are holding the best fish however a full moon is what will fire them up. The night bite has been successful for those casting live bait, especially with the bait run beginning in Deerfield.
The day bite is considerably slower this week. When you can find an area with some shelter or a break in the wind you might be able to see some of the scattered Pompano, Bluefish and Sharks running the beach. If you are lucky enough to be able to get onto the reefs, they will be holding decent sized Cobia as well. Once things calm down we suspect that the fish will be feeding on the bait run as the Mullet make their way in and the Sardines head to the rock piles off the beach.
OFFSHORE – This week the weather is cool but the bite is hot, hot, hot! We are still getting a lot of Tuna including Yellowfin, a Bluefin or two, Blackfin and even some Skipjack. The numbers are consistently good from Jupiter to Fort. Lauderdale. Head to 120 feet of water for consistently good sizes of Blackfin from 5 to 8 pounds with bigger sizes mixed in.
There have been reef fish including Kings swimming both nearshore and offshore along the coast. Sails are mixed in with the Kings towards Jupiter however by the time we make our way to Fort Lauderdale they have become, still consistent, but scattered from in close to farther offshore. Normally they are slow at this time of year however they are still quite active into this week. From the bottom, the Snapper are providing the hotter bite. A variety of species have been caught using Sardines as well as Squid throughout the area. Amberjack are beginning to stack up on the deeper reefs as well.

Jupiter Fishing Report
INSHORE – Anglers have finally had some reports of Cobia close to the beach in Lake Worth. We are hoping the weather treats us to a few opportunities to get on them. Jetty fishermen are doing very well on Snook at night around bridges and dock lights, daytime jetty fishing is also good. If you are unsure of where to go, try Deerfield or Fort Lauderdale and bring some topwaters. Don’t be surprised if you hook a few Jacks and Snapper when using Shrimp. Fishing Headquarters out of Fort Lauderdale has reported bigger Tarpon in the area. The fish have been extremely difficult to get a bite out of. Down in Miami, Government Cut in the bay near the key has produced good amounts of Tarpon.

OFFSHORE – The bottom bite for Snapper has been slow early in the week on account of the wind. This is normally a good thing however because the fish are usually less pressured when you finally get a chance to target them. We caught up with Fishing Headquarters running out of Fort Lauderdale and they reported decent Amberjack fishing around the shipwrecks in 200 feet of water. You will also hook a pile of catch and release Grouper from the bottom. The offshore trolling bite was really hit or miss from Miami up to Jupiter. The better bite was to the South. Wahoo reports were fairly slim unless you were able to get close to the Bahamas. Look to see Dolphin fishing pick up off of West Palm Beach as new debris and weedlines should show up. A mix of Tuna and Bonito were readily caught out of Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Bonito were up to 5 pounds. Moving closer in, Kingfish have been biting in around 85 feet of water with the odd Sailfish mixed in. Sailfishing should resume following the week’s early wind events.

Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Jacks and Snook have been on the bite this past week in Southeast Florida. The Jacks in particular have been blowing up Mullet, the Lake Worth/Boynton area is fishing especially well for them. For the Snook, just a Shrimp under a cork will get the job done in most situations this week. From Deerfield to Miami, you can also find a pretty decent Tarpon bite inshore so long as you are using baits that are very lively.

OFFSHORE – Sailfishing was pretty interesting over the past 10 days. Fort Lauderdale and Miami’s Sailfish bite was on prior to the weekend, then it seemed to shut down. A lot of the boats taking part in the Sailfish tournament elected to move north to Pompano beach where quite a few Sailfish ended up being released. Aside from good amounts of Kingfish in 90 to 150 feet of water, there were some very big Blackfin Tuna caught from north of Miami down around to the Keys. Miss Britt Charters out of Miami even boated a few 30 pounders.

INSHORE – Snook and Jack Crevalle were the hot catches this week. They are being caught on DOA lures, Yo Zuri Minnow patterns and bait. Most of the fish have been caught throughout inlets and sea walls. There were also some Cobia up to 50 pounds on the beaches at Jupiter and Juno.
There has been some good Sheepshead opportunities throughout the Southeast but they do slow down as you hit warmer water. Good sized Tarpon have been showing up in Fort Lauderdale. We are expecting that bite to heat up over the next few weeks.

Gulf Stream fishing produced a few Swordfish in approximately 800 feet of water. There are also some Tilefish being caught in the same depth from Deerfield on down to Pompano beach. Boats out of Miami and Fort Lauderdale had a really good week catching everything from Sailfish on kites to Dusky Sharks in 500 feet of water.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Bluefish have been peppering the beaches from Jupiter to Fort Lauderdale. Don’t be surprised if there is some Spanish Mackerel mixed in. It should be a good time to be throwing spoons or plugs into the surf.
Snook are slowly heating up in the lower stretches of Southeastern Florida. Most popular lures are Flair Hawks and SpoolTeks. A few of the beaches North of Deerfield are offering up some good Pompano action. If you are looking to get into Jacks or Barracuda they have been in particularly good numbers around the Pompano Beach area.
OFFSHORE – The offshore boats have been doing very well on King Mackerel this week. From Jupiter all the way down to Miami the Kingfish have been caught in no less than 85 ft and no deeper than 125 ft, with the exception of Fort Lauderdale anglers finding some big Kings in 150 ft of water. The gulf stream provided a good Wahoo bite this past week. From the waters off of Juno Beach getting heavier around Pompano Beach and slowing down a bit South of Hollywood anglers are finding Wahoo. Sailfish have been sporadic throughout. A lot of boats are spending their time live baiting or trolling in 150-250 ft. Boats trolling anywhere from 200-500 ft all throughout the region have been finding some weeds along with some Dolphin. Cobia, Lane Snapper, and Vermilion Snapper have been caught off of Jupiter and Juno in roughly 100 ft of water. Yellowtail Snapper have been slow from Lake Worth down to Boca Raton. Bottom fishing has been a bit slow in Southeast Florida. Except for a good Yellowtail bite in 60-90 ft of water out from Miami.

There has also been some Drum (Drum, Black) and lots of Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) mixed in. A few small Snook (Snook, Common) are being caught. They are between 15-25 inches. Around the Pier, anglers are casting from the beach and boats out to 20 ft of water to find Spanish (Mackerel, Spanish), Bluefish, Jacks and some Pompano (Pompano, Florida). Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The Inshore fishing is fantastic all through the Icw, do to the abundance of Mullet that has migrated to our area. The Snook (Snook, Common) fishing is fantastic along sea walls, mangrove shorelines and bridges. Early morning and late afternoon is the best time for great Snook action. DOA bait busters in green back and mullet color patterns, provide anglers with explosive reaction strikes as lures are worked near bait pods. Live baits will also keep your rod bent, but the trick is to make you bait stand out from the others by using weight or altering the mullet by cutting the tail or different hook sets on the bait. The Snook have been averaging 2 to 20 pounds. The Tarpon fishing is excellent, along mangrove shorelines and channel drop offs. The Tarpon can be located as they roll on the surface and bust bait pods with a vengeance. Topwater heddon spook jr in bone or okee shad color and DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerkbait in pearl or glow and gold rush belly excellent artificial baits for the silver king. A live mullet free lined near rolling fish will definitely get the drag screaming. The Tarpon are averaging 5 to 50 pounds. The seawalls and docks are great areas for locating Jacks for those anglers in search of a tug a war. The Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) are schooled up, ambushing bait schools as they migrate down shorelines. The Jacks will hammer any live bait and DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerkbait in pearl that crosses their path. The average size of the Jacks has been 1 to 20 pounds. Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch so get out there and

INSHORE – The beach action is great. We are expecting great weather this weekend. The Mullet there are Snook in the trough, Jacks on the beach as well as small Mackerel and Bluefish. Use bait or Silver Spoons for Macks and Blues. On the outside of the Mullet in the afternoon the bite is good for Tarpon up to 100 lbs and the same size Sharks (Shark, Spinner) in the same area. They are just outside the bait keeping everything in check. The bait will be the best tool for finding fish. Around the inlet we are seeing Snook (Snook, Common) still. They haven’t moved out yet. They are active when the schools of Mullet moves into the inlet. The last half of the incoming tide using live Croakers (Croaker, Atlantic) is key if there are no Mullet moving in. Loxahatchee River is holding big schools of Finger Mullet. Small 8-12 lb Tarpon, Snook and small Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) can also be found. The Juno Pier is holding huge Kings (Mackerel, King) up to 40 lbs using live Mullet. Tune in to ESPNWestPalm.com and listen live to Jupiter Bait & Tackle’s live fishing report! Chunked Mullet is best to hook them. PRO ANGLER APP USERS – Tap a fish below for additional tips and tricks!
OFFSHORE – There has been a good Mutton (Snapper, Mutton) bite still. There are still Bonito (Bonito, Little Tunny) and Sailfish (Billfish – Sailfish) around as well. Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – August comes to an end, but not with out a little fear. We dodged a storm but typically September and October are the most active. The temperatures are still scorching, hopefully Florida can prevail without any harm from named storms. The inshore fishing provided steady action along with some drastic high and low tides. The high tides made it tough at times to fish the mangrove shorelines for Snook (Snook, Common) and Tarpon. These predatory fish venture in the mangroves maze of roots, making it difficult to present a bait to them. The outgoing tide for Snook has been great, Snook season will be opening September 1st. The Mullet run soon will begin in our area, providing fishing mayhem on the water. The Snook are feeding on bait schools near sea walls, bridges and grass flats. DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerkbait in Arkansas glow and glow / gold rush belly on a 1/8 DOA premium jig head, excellent artificial bait for the Snook. Heddon super spooks work great during low tide for Snook lurking along channel edges. The average size of the Snook has ranged from 2 to 18 pounds. The ICW provided great action for Jacks (Jack, Crevalle). These fish are incredibly strong offering a great fight, even for the experienced angler. Topwater Heddon spooks in bone color or bone and chartreuse trigger massive surface strikes. The Jacks ferociously chase down a DOA C.A.L. 5.5 inch jerkbait in pearl rigged on a 6/0 weedless hook. The Jacks pound for pound are the one of the strongest fish in the ICW. The Jacks are averaging in size from 2 to 30 pounds. Freshwater action has produced great fishing for Peacock Bass. The only issue has been the water levels, SFWM has discharged massive amounts of water in our local lake and canals. Dropping water levels to low levels exposing Banks and fish beds. Once the water levels rise the fish will gather back to shorelines and beds along the banks. DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerk baits in pearl and candy corn rigged weedless on a 4/0 wide gap hook, excellent bait for peacocks lurking along shorelines and docks. Live Shiners on a cork a great method for beginners or producing steady action for the kids. Well that is the fishing report for the past week, I hope you all enjoyed. Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The early part of last week provided moderate winds. As the week went on light southeast winds offered anglers phenomenal fishing conditions. The full moon and extreme high and low tides, triggered some really good fishing in the palm beach county area. The beaches offered fantastic snook action for anglers walking or fishing by boat. The Snook (Snook, Common) were visible to anglers as they ambushed bait schools in the troughs. Fly anglers enjoyed great action with deceiver and clouser flies. DOA C.A.L. 3 inch shad in pearl and glow holographic on a 1/16 ounce premium DOA jig head, excellent bait for the lurking linesiders in the surf. Local inlets still provided action for big Snook, live Mullet or Croakers sent to the bottom triggered strikes. DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerk bait in glow and gold rush belly along with Bayou Tiger on a DOA premium 3/8 ounce jig, rounded up snook weighing up to 25 pounds. Snook in the ICW were active along docks and seawalls on the incoming tide and first of the outgoing. Live Greenies and DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerk bait, best choices to get the drag screaming. Tarpon are being found in the Icw near drop offs and mangrove shorelines. The best action for the Tarpon has been morning and evening, using live Greenies and Heddon spook Jr. in bone color. The outgoing tide has provided the best action. A great tactic for Tarpon along channel edges, is jigging DOA bait busters in green back or mullet pattern. The beaches are still providing action for Tarpon. Those fish tend to be very spooky so live baits free lined is the best bet, along with a light leader. The docks, seawalls and grass flats have provided great action for anglers using and live baits and artificial lures. The Jacks (Jack, Crevalle), Snapper (Snapper, Gray), Drum (Drum, Black) and Trout (Seatrout, Spotted) have been the main predators being caught. Clean water has offered the best bite along with moving water. Live baits free lined near the structure or pot holes trigger strikes. A great search bait is a DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerk baits on a weedless hook worked near sea walls docks and grass flats. Working the DOA C.A.L. quickly on the surface can trigger reaction strikes or fish that give chase, allowing the angler to locate fish in the area. Freshwater action, the full moon triggered the peacock bass bite and many of the fish on the beads were active and willing to eat. Popper flies, DOA C.A.L. 3 inch shad on a chugger head and Heddon spook jr all great baits to trigger peacocks to strike. Sight fishing the peacock bass along sea walls with a DOA shrimp another great method to get the rod bent. If live baiting is your style, a live shiner with a cork along a sea wall or dock piling sure will get the drag screaming. Well that is the report for the past week hope you all enjoyed. INSHORE – The kids are back school and the waters less crowded, summer sure flew bye. Less pressure on the water and the fish are biting go figure. The beautiful weather will sure keep the fishing action steady, load the boat and go get a rod bent. The Inshore fishing has been full of action for anglers targeting Snook (Snook, Common). The Snook continue to gather in our inlets and deep channels. DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerk bait on a 3/8 ounce jig head in glow / gold rush belly excellent bait for the linesiders. A DOA Baitbuster in pearl /greenback rigged on a jig 3/8 ounce black jig head, excellent lure to entice the Snook to strike. If you prefer to live bait, snook willingly devour mullet and Pinfish placed in their vicinity. Snook season opens September 1 so if you would like to keep a Snook, be sure you have a Snook stamp. Anglers looking to tango with the Silver King (Tarpon), beaches and inside the ICW best areas to find the Tarpon. Look for rolling fish and present a live Greenie or Mullet on a circle hook and hold on tight. DOA Bait Buster in Mullet pattern or pearl color, deadly on Tarpon. The key with Tarpon is to present the bait ahead of them leading the fish or pod. This allows for a stealthy approach without spooking the Tarpon. Once a tarpon nears the bait, a little twitch or movement triggers the strike. The Tarpon range in size from 10 to 50 pounds. Always remember to bow your rod to the king, this is to avoid the break offs and hooks pulling out. The Docks and seawalls have provided great action. The Jacks (Jack, Crevalle), Snapper (Snapper, Gray), Trout (Seatrout, Spotted) and a few Redfish (Drum, Red) have been the main predators being caught. These fish have been biting when the tide is flowing ambushing bait schools as they look for shelter. Early morning and late afternoon has provided the best bite as water temperatures are cooler. Local freshwater canals and lakes are presenting great action for Peacock Bass using fly and DOA C.A.L. 3 inch shad in candy corn and glow holographic colors. Live Shiners used for the Peacock Bass offers non stop action for anglers. The Peacock Bass are very aggressive, sight fishing for the Peacocks is an adrenaline rush. Anglers witness the strike happen front and center, triggering a great battle. Popper flies or topwater heddon spook jrs great choices for top water enthusiasts. Other exotics species are being caught as well while targeting the peacock bass. Mayan cichlid, Oscars, and knife fish all great catches on light tackle. Well that is the report for the past week hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines! Capt. INSHORE – It`s Snook (Snook, Common) all day long. They are closed but hot for catch and release from the beach. Artificials are working well right in the wash with fish up to 15 lbs. First thing in the morning has been most productive from daylight until about 8 am. Jupiter Inlet South to the Juno Pier are the best areas. Around the inlets the boat anglers are fishing live bait to hook the large schools of Snook and the water is clear. The Mangroves (Snapper, Gray) are starting to show up and they will get better throughout July and August. Most are short but there are some keepers above the bridges and the inlet. Fishing Headquarters provides solid block ice for anyone running to the Bahamas this long weekend!
OFFSHORE – When the current is moving North the fishing on the dropoff has been very good from 110-120. Kings (Mackerel, King) are on the inside from 105-110. Outside there are a lot of Bonito (Bonito, Little Tunny) and Sharks (Shark, Blacktip). Small schoolie Dolphin have come up from the keys and we are seeing a lot of good sizes come in. Make sure they are 20 inches before you keep them. Blackfin Tuna (Tuna, Blackfin) have been consistent the past few weeks from 200-250 right in front of Juno Inlet to the South. Snapper (Snapper, Mutton & Snapper, Yellowtail) fishing is hit and miss. When the water is murky they disappear but once there is a good current the Muttons are biting well with Yellowtail mixed in. The docks and seawall are great areas to locate Snook using live Mullet or Threadfins. Topwater heddon spooks create explosions when worked slowly during low light hours bone or white chartreuse head great colors. The inlets live Threadfins and Pinfish on a lead sent to the bottom triggers the Snook to feed also DOA C.A.L. 4 inch jerk shad in pearl and Bayou Tiger on a 3/8 ounce jig great tactic to produce strikes as well. The back bays and canals are still holding smaller fish which are schooling up in pods if 20 to 50 fish. Bridges are holding big females near lights and shadow lines, trolled jigs or hard baits and flies work great for these monsters. Tarpon fanatics the beaches are starting to calm, allowing boats to navigate in search of rolling fish. The bigger fish weighing 50 to 100 pounds are in depths from 10 to 25 feet of water, sunrise is the best time to target these fish. A live Mullet, Threadfin or pinfish worked near the bottom great bait to get the rod bent. The silver kings in the back bays and deeper channels offer steady action for light tackle anglers. These juvenile fish are averaging 5 to 30 pounds in size, schooling in pods of 10 to 15 fish. Live greenies or pinfish and DOA C.A.L. 3 inch shad in pearl or Alewife worked on the bottom will provoke many strikes. The grass flats are offering great numbers of Snook, Trout (Seatrout, Spotted), Jacks (Jack, Crevalle), Drum (Drum, Red) and Snapper (Snapper, Gray). The best method is to freeline a live bait near potholes channel edges or bait schools for best results. The grass flats produce the best action on an outgoing tide. The big Trout and snook can be sight fished during low tide with DOA C.A.L. 3 inch shad on a 1/8 ounce jig head. Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch , so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines. Capt. Craig Korczynski, PhlatsInshoreFishing.com, 561-644-4371
OFFSHORE – School is out let the fun in the sun begin and most importantly try and stay dry. Anglers grab the family and get the drag screaming on those reels. South east winds help bring the pelagics closer to our shores, producing outstanding fishing action. The Bonita (Bonito, Little Tunny) schools are thick offshore near wrecks and drop offs. Though many anglers consider the Bonitas a pain at times they sure put up a big fight. These pesky fish are a blast on light tackle as well as on fly. Fly fisherman can experience drag screaming action at its finest, chumming can bring in 20 to 50 fish next to the boat creating a feeding frenzy. This is time to put your tackle and favorite lures to the test.

INSHORE – May has arrived and the fishing inshore will produce great catches for anglers. The baits schools start to show and seas begin to calm, get your ready it’s time for some rod bending action. INSHORE – The weather has been great in this area as of late. Everyone is going fishing and catching tons of Cobia. From Stuart Inlet South to Palm Beach inlet they have been on the reef and on the beach following the Rays. This is a typical Spring migration. Use a 2 or 3 oz Cobia Jig. You can use this with Squid and just let it sit on the bottom to catch them. The beach has been quiet. There are some Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) going by. Whiting (Kingfish, Southern) and Croaker have been on the beach for guys using Sand Fleas. The water has cleared up so there are no signs of Pompano, Florida. Snook, Common is now up on the East side and there are some good reports from the rivers and around structure. Some of them are keeper size. Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Anglers are catching a few Pompano, Florida in the Loxahatchee river on jigs such as Doc’s Goofy Jig. There is a lot of Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) averaging 6-7 lbs mixed in. Throughout the intracoastal there have been lots of Ladyfish from .5 lb to 3 lbs. They prefer live Shrimp on a jig or on a pink fly. They are not picky and are fun to catch this time of year. There are Snapper, Gray around the channel markers as well. The inlet is pretty quiet. The cold fronts are bringing in Mackerel, Spanish, Bluefish and Jacks as the weather changes the patterns.
OFFSHORE – The Sailfish (Billfish – Sailfish) are doing well as all of the tournaments are turning up with great numbers. The best area is from the Juno Pier and North towards the Tower. They’re from about 140 ft to 250 ft of water. On the reef at 100ft range there are some Kings (Mackerel, King) in decent sizes. From the bottom Snapper (Snapper, Gray, Snapper, Mutton and Snapper, Vermillion) are hitting from the 70 to 80 ft range.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – There are a lot of Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) being caught this week now that the weather has settled a bit. There are no signs of Ladyfish yet. Croakers are hitting in the river and off the beaches. Snook, Common are still swimming but out of season. A few Pompano, Florida are turning up but the bite is not hot yet. Clams or Sand Fleas are the best bet for hooking them. Since the water temperature has cooled there have been a few reports of Sheepshead on Fiddler Crabs as well. Drum (Drum, Black) have had a consistent bite on Shrimp either live or similar artificial soft plastics.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The beach fishing has been well below par due to the unfavorable conditions that have recently set in. There is expected to be a gap in the weather by the end of the week where we should see the Ladyfish and Jack, Crevalle bite continue. The Pompano, Florida and Bluefish should settle down once the wind has them less scattered. The offshore bite is expected to remain consistent as well.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The action inshore has slowed down this week. Ladyfish and Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) are both running along with the occasional Pompano, Florida and Bluefish turning up. They are loving topwater plugs this week but are still doing better during the morning bite. There are no signs of Mackerel, Spanish as of yet however we won’t be surprised to see some turn up over the holiday weekend.
OFFSHORE – The unfavorable weather has kept a lot of anglers off the water this week however there are still a few boaters who managed to make their way out this week. We have reports of Mahi (Dolphin) turning up in roughly 150-250 ft of water again this week as well as some Bonito, Little Tunny and Wahoo. The big winds have mixed up the fish so they are constantly on the move and not too easy to find. They are still there though for anglers who put their time in. We expect this bite to continue and improve once conditions lie down.
BAIT REPORT – Mullet is still around this week and although spotty can still be found for anglers who put some time in. Stop in and check out Fishing Headquarters’ great selection of PENN Rods, Reels and Combos that make make the perfect last minute gift for your favorite angler this year.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – There is still quite a bit of action along the beaches from the surf. Blues (Bluefish), Spanish (Mackerel, Spanish) and Pompano, Florida are hitting well in the shallow water. Anglers are using shiny spoons for the Blues and Spanish while the Pompano are preferring frozen Sand Fleas or fish bites. The intracoastal waterway along the Jupiter inlet and Loxahatchee River there have been a fair amount of 3-5 lb Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) and a few more Blues on the inside. Topwater plugs are the best way to hook them but anglers have to get out first thing in the morning to find the bite.
OFFSHORE – There is plenty of action for anglers looking to take their boats to the deeper water this week. The Sail (Billfish – Sailfish) bite has started to increase this week after last week’s tournament. They are loving live bait including Blue Runners, Goggle Eyes, Greenies or Sardines. Boaters are heading to roughly 100-300 ft of water to find them and having no trouble so far. There are also Wahoo being caught incidentally as well. They are weighing in from 25-35 lbs. Split tail Mullet is working extremely well in 150-250 ft of water. There are some Mahi (Dolphin) mixed in here as well. The bottom fishing off the reefs has produced well this week. Snapper (Snapper, Mutton & Snapper, Yellowtail) have been coming up in 65-85 ft and although they are slow, the catches have been great. Pieces of Sardine is the best bait to throw if you’re targeting Snapper.
BAIT REPORT – There are plenty of Blue Runners about a quarter mile just north of Jupiter inlet. They are hiding in roughly 35 ft of water and can be caught fairly easily. Stop in and check out Fishing Headquarters’ great selection of PENN Rods, Reels and Combos that make make the perfect last minute gift for your favorite angler this year.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Since it has not been cold enough for the big Trout (Seatrout, Spotted) to show up yet most anglers are still focusing on the other inshore fish. Jacks (Jack, Crevalle), Ladyfish, and Bluefish are all swarming the shallow waters in great numbers. The end of the Snook, Common season is coming up quick so anglers are taking advantage of the final few days. The Spillways are still holding some Snook however most are not keeper size. Anglers are throwing Mullet to hook them and also finding a spool tech artificial to be very productive.
OFFSHORE – Anglers who decide to to take on the rain recently are still finding a good bite in the offshore this week. There are reports of Sails (Billfish – Sailfish) coming up in great sizes so far. There are also lots of Mahi (Dolphin) swimming the area as well. Both are loving live or dead bait however not really too interested in artificials this week. They are expected to be around 150 ft and deeper. There are also Blue Runners swimming in the offshore and are a great opportunity to catch some bait for the Mahi and Sails.
BAIT REPORT – There are Finger Mullet running the inshore and working well for live bait. Blue Runners are also swimming in the offshore and the fish are chasing them.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The Loxahatchee river, closest to the inlet has had a fantastic bite this week. Schools of Bluefish are hitting on topwater plugs from the early morning until about 10am. Spooks seem to be the bait of choice however the Blues aren’t picky and just about anything will work. They have been weighing in at roughly 2-4 lbs. Jacks (Jack, Crevalle) are mixed in coming up from 2-3 lbs as well. If anglers head to the bridges they can expect to find Snook, Common as the water is still warm. A lot of them are slot sized however some are still quite small. Around the Marker 42 area and the Sound there are tons of Ladyfish from 12-20 inches. They can be caught on a light fly rod or spinning rod with DOA lure, jigging on the bottom. The water temperature continues to stay warm so the Ladies are only in about 2-6ft of water this week.
OFFSHORE – The Troll has been extremely productive for offshore anglers this week. Boaters have been heading to the 120-300 ft mark for good bites on Dolphin. There are some great sized Sails (Billfish – Sailfish) mixed in from 180-240 ft. They have been showing up straight out from the Jupiter Inlet. A lot of anglers are getting ready to kite fish however at this point of the year it doesn’t really make a difference as the fish aren’t too thick. When they are on fire kite fishing will be great as it will keep the bait on the surface.
BAIT REPORT – There is plenty of bait for live baiters this week. Finger Mullet are in schools around the bridges. Glass Minnows have been running the beach, however most are still too small to fish with. Bluerunners are on fire turning up around 6-8 inches. They can be caught just North of the inlet, about 300 yards in 30 ft of water.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – There has been quite a bit of action happening inshore this week. Jack, Crevalle have been swimming along with Mackerel, Pompano, Florida, Ladyfish and a ton of Snook, Common. Live Shrimp have been working best for all species however any live bait is expected to do well on a jig.
OFFSHORE – There has been a great Billfish – Sailfish in the area lately. The tournament last weekend did not see favorable weather conditions however despite this, the winner managed to reel in 11 releases. The weather is better now and the bite is expected to be even greater. They are loving Goggleyes so which happen to be running right now. Dolphin are also biting right on the edge of the reefs around 80-150 ft. of water. They are loving naked Ballyhoo on the troll. Grand Slam Sportfishing Supply 561-841-2848
BAIT REPORT – The only bait running right now is big Mullet so far this week. This can change day to day depending on weather and where you are going.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Due to unfavorable wind conditions there have been no offshore reports this week. The Billfish – Sailfish bite at 120-250 ft is expected to pick back up once the weather calms down. Mahi (Dolphin) will also still be swimming at that range. Anglers taking their chances this week can always consult our Tips feature with loads of suggestions and information that could help improve the catch. Grand Slam Sport Fishing Supply can also provide an up to the minute fishing report so anglers know exactly what to expect.
OFFSHORE – Weather has made fishing in this area extremely difficult this week. There have been no reports of anglers hitting the water either inshore or offshore. The recent activity of Jack, Crevalle, Snook Common and Mackerel, Spanish are all expected to continue this weekend when the weather should lie down. Anglers have lots of time to stock up on Mullet, the bait of choice, before then.
BAIT REPORT – There are still expected to be some Mullet running although the weather has had them pretty mixed up and they are not easy to find.

Jupiter / Juno Beach
INSHORE – The inshore bite has had a lot of activity recently. Jack, Crevalle have been pretty prominent in the inlets chasing live mullet or a similar artificials. Snook, Common are swimming as well but are starting to become spotty. Mackerel, Spanish have recently showed up and are hitting both live and artificials, they have no preference. Both Mullet and spoons are working well.
OFFSHORE – The bite has stayed pretty consistent over the past week. Dolphin continue to bite alongside Billfish – Sailfish around the 120 – 250 ft. mark. Anglers have been trolling live bait around the edge. Bottom fishing has been reported to be great right now Mahi, Sailfish, bottom fishing has been good. Grouper (Grouper, Gag & Grouper, Black) have been turning up in various sizes, however keep in mind that Grouper, Red haven’t been in keeper sizes inside the 9 mile mark.
BAIT REPORT – Mullet are beginning to slow down and there are no bait running otherwise.

INSHORE – The inlets are host to lots of Jack, Crevalle that are biting right now. The Mackerel, Spanish are finally showing up along with some Bluefish. All of these species are hungry for live Finger Mullet or as an artificial alternative are hitting spoons or glass minnow jigs.
OFFSHORE – Around 120-250 ft offshore anglers are catching Dolphin and Billfish – Sailfish. They have been trolling with live bait right along the edge of that range. There has been no problem catching at this point as both species have been plentiful.
BAIT REPORT – Finger mullet are running thick right now so live baiters should have no problem catching them.

Juno Beach / Jupiter Fishing Report
OFFSHORE – High winds and cold temperatures have made fishing challenging for anglers this week. 10-12 ft. waves deter most boaters from heading out. Things have been really slow. Keep an eye out for the sea to lay down so you can safely get offshore again. We anticipate some large Dolphin by then. If you decide to brave the weather you can always rely on our Tips section of the app by tapping on the fish of your choice to view suggestions, baits and ‘how to’s.
INSHORE – Although conditions have been rough the fishing has been good. We are seeing a mixed bag of Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Snook and Tarpon in the river. They’re all hungry for Live Mullet. As an alternative you could try out some similar artificial bait such as a voodoo mullet, poppers, spooks and bombers. We expect conditions to continue over the weekend so results should be similar.
BAIT REPORT – The Mullet run continues which is great as most inshore fish are craving it. Take advantage and stock up before you head out.

Juno Beach / Jupiter Fishing Report
OFFSHORE – Decent Dolphin bite offshore, at about 1200 to 1500 ft of water. Weed patches aren’t as good as they have been but there are still a few decent weedlines out there. Dolphin are responding to rigged Ballyhoo with skirts or naked, they both work.
INSHORE – Snook fishing is popular in the inlet and beaches. There isn’t too much else inshore. Use Crocker for live bait with Snook. If you’re looking to use an artificial bait, spooltek lures are working well. 4in Spooltek lures are the most popular size right now, but the colors don’t seem to make a difference.
BAIT REPORT – If you’re out there netting bait, there are a few Finger Mullet. Sardines and Greenbacks are harder to catch right now.

Offshore: Currently there is a decent Dolphin bite out in the 800-1500 foot deep water (12 – 20 miles), trolling with blue and white or pink and white skirting with Ballyhoos. The bottom fishing has been pretty much hit and miss with a few Mutton being hauled in from time to time.Inshore: Fishing with small bait fish—Minnows, Sardines, Croakers, Pilchards is proving very good for snook (Remember that the season just opened on September 1). Some jigs, such as a Red Tailed Hawk, are also working off the bottom. Silver-bodied with dark back lures will work well from the beach.

Inshore: Plenty of Snook are available on the beaches and around the piers. Anglers, however, will have to release all Snook until the beginning of Snook season on September 1. Some Jacks are moving along the beach, and since the Mullet are beginning to show up, there will be Tarpon and Bluefish following them, working their way from north to south. Anglers looking for bait can use Sabiki rigs or nets to catch some of the Pilchards running near the beaches.Fishing Headquarters

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
OFFSHORE – The Dolphin bite has been pretty good with the exception of the last couple days. There’s a few Wahoo and some Blackfin Tuna with them. For the Dolphin most people are still trolling Ballyhoo along the weedlines with a few people having success stopping to chunk bait them and pitch the weed patches. There’s quite a few big weed patches out in in the 15 mile range. All you have to do is find the big weed patches. For the most part the Dolphin have been on the smaller side right now. There’s also lots of Kingfish anywhere between 90 and 110 feet of water. Live Sardines or drifting dead Sardines works well. You can use a triple or double hook with a ¾ or 1 ounce lead weight so that it’s just enough to have some weight to the bait.INSHORE – Around the docks there’s plenty of Snook. They aren’t in season yet so make sure you release them. Pre season is a great time to locate and learn some of the spots you’ll find fish when the season’s open to keepers. Croakers, Sand Perch, or Pinfish will all be good baits for the Snook.
BAIT REPORT – Inshore and on the beach there’s been some small Pilchards inside and on the beach. There’s still Sardines out on the 30ft rock pile off the inlet or the 25 ft off of Juno.
Fishing Headquarters is starting to stock the new Spooltek lures just in time for Snook season.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
OFFSHORE – The offshore trolling for Dolphin is good, but they are pretty far out right now. Minimum, you are going to need to go 800 feet deep. There have been reports of fish biting at the 1100 and 1200 marks, but it does depend on the wind and where the weedlines are. As usual you want to troll Ballyhoo for them. Remember Dolphin likes to travel in schools so if you have a good one on the line, let it swim around in the water and through a few other baits out for his friends. The Mutton Snapper are along the bottom right now and you should be fine if you deep drop some cut Sardine.INSHORE – There is Whiting and Croaker on the beach near the inlet and Snook on the pier. Generally your best fishing is going to happen on Shrimp and early in the morning. keep an eye on the water temperature and make a judgment call before you go out.
BAIT REPORT – There have been reports of people cast netting their own Ballyhoo, but generally they are scattered right now. There are, however, lots of Sardines around.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
OFFSHORE – The weather has been nice lately, the pockets of cold water have pushed the Snapper closer inshore and you can catch them in 65-70 feet of water. There are Kingfish around Juno Pier, and further South down past palm inlet. On the drop off there are lots of Bonita and shark, around 125 feet. The Dolphin are starting 10 miles out in depths of 1000 – 1200 feet. You want to troll Ballyhoo for them. If you are going out there you may want to try trolling a split tail mullet for wahoo. The bottom fishing is not bad and you will find the usual fish, take cut bait or squid.INSHORE – There are tons of Snook all over the inlets, but they are still closed. The Mangrove Snapper are on the inside and around the US 1 bridges. The bridge up towards Hobe Sound is also good. There is not a lot of Ladyfish this time of year, which is a shame because they make excellent cut bait.
BAIT REPORT – There are Sardines around and you can probably drop a sabiki for them.
Pete says you can call anytime, or check them out online where they have a full online store. He also does an ESPN radio show every saturday.

Jupiter / Juno Beach Fishing Report
OFFSHORE – Talking to Roger over at Jupiter Bait & Tackle, he mentioned that Bonitas, Sharks, and Wahoo are active right now. The Wahoo are in between 120-300 feet. The Bonita have been ranging a little closer than that, but are also in the same range of about 60-300 feet. There are tons of Bonita, and Bonita strips make excellent bait. The Dolphin are way out there, and if you want to go for them you need to find an offshore weedline. If you plan on going bottom fishing than there are Snapper on the bottom but the East coast of Florida didn’t get a Red Snapper season.INSHORE – The main fish being hit on the inshore are the Snapper, Sheepshead, Jacks, Snook, and Tarpon. Which means pretty much everything is hitting. Tailor your gear and location to whichever fish you want to catch. People have been catching Moonfish, Croaker, Snook, and Sharks at the pier. If you are looking to catch the Tarpon, you want to go early in the morning.
BAIT REPORT – There is bait around, people are netting Croakers around the inlet. There are lots of Greenies and Sardines around the Pier. Some big Mullet out here too.

Jupiter Fishing Report
OFFSHORE – Our friends over at Jupiter Bait & Tackle have heard that the Dolphin are running. You are going to want to bring your usual Dolphin bait and tackle 10-15 miles out, and then head for a weedline. Trolling Ballyhoo and artificial lures works well – they don’t seem to have a preference for a certain type of lure so try a few until you see what is working for you. If you are bottom fishing there is Snapper around the wrecks and reefs, but they haven’t heard much about the Grouper. Try to drop cut bait or Squid to the bottom. Most of the east coast of Florida has been reporting a strong cold water current along the bottom which has disrupted bottom fishing, so if they aren’t biting try your hand at trolling.INSHORE – The Snook inshore are great fun this time of year. They are complemented by a good showing of Snapper – but most of the Snapper are further out or deeper along the bottom. There have been quite a few reports of sharks so don’t get too attached to your catch before it is in your hands.
BAIT REPORT – Greenbacks and Sand Perch are around, but the bait that most everyone is catching is the Croaker by the inlet and pier.

OFFSHORE – There has been lots of action offshore with a good showing from Bonita, Sharks, and the occasional Dolphin. There are Sailfish and Wahoo out there too. The Dolphin are 140 and further out. As usual, your best bet is to troll Ballyhoo for the Dolphin. For the Sailfish and Wahoo you want to use sardines. If trolling live bait stick between 3-5 knots – but if you have a trolling lure on the back, you can go anywhere up to 14 knots.INSHORE – Roger over at Jupiter Bait & Tackle has seen Snapper, Tarpon, and Snook. There are the occasional Black Drum too. The Snook and Tarpon are around the inlets and beaches. They both like to bite on Pinfish or Greenies, but failing that try Mullet and if you know anyone who has good size live Shrimp, take those.
BAIT REPORT – There has been a lot of Greenies and Mullet around.

OFFSHORE: Captain Lou over at Do Stay Charters says the fishing is GREAT! There are lots of Bonita around which you’ll want to catch for fun! You can also cut them up for Bonita strips to troll for Dolphin around the 300 foot mark. What ever you catch you’ll want to catch them quick because the Sharks will get them. The Sharks are around all the way from the beaches to the 300 mark. There are also some Wahoo out there! They are hot on the Bonita stomach as well. If you’re rather use a lure try a spoon. Captain Lou has also been hearing about huge Sailfish about 15 miles out. INSHORE– Snook is really good right now on the beach and in the inlets. A lot of anglers are using live bait. Try your luck with live Shrimp or Pilchards. If you’d rather go artificial then peal or glow swim baits work really well.
BAIT– There are some Pilchards around.

The Goliath grouper have been biting real well. We are doing catch revive and release in the last couple of trips we have fish from the 80-200 pound range. We have had our share of sand bar and bull sharks caught and released up to 400 pounds.Inshore – Snook on the fly. He caught 7 the other day. The false albacore have been red hot out near the Gulf Stream. You can catch fish till your arms are sore on a 12-weight fly rod. Captain cliff caught 7 Dolphin one day, and 5 the next, but now it has slowed down a little bit. He caught a Sailfish June 15th on live threadfin herring. He also caught a few Mutton Snapper and a Yellowtail as an accident.
Fishing this time of year has been good. He has been chumming up rainbow runners and cobia occasionally which are mixed in with the sharks that circle the boat. He had 15 sharks circling the boat during a shark feeding; there were Sandbar, Tiger, Hammerhead, and Bull Sharks.
Bait fish have been intermittent. One day they are here the next they are gone. A good network of captains is very important for Captain Cliff, one day they are south, the next they are out – it is the luck of the day.
Afternoon thundershowers have been prevalent so an early start is key.

OFFSHORE – Our source at Jupiter Bait & Tackle tells us that the Kingfish continues to be slow this week. Don’t be discouraged though, the trusty Dolphin is still strong. They are hanging out along the weedlines. As always we recommend trolling Ballyhoo at a reasonable speed to attract the Dolphin.INSHORE / INLET – Inshore there are lots of Snook and Snapper. These fish are biting best on Squid, Greenies and pieces of Sardines. These fish are most active on any moving tide, but it is typically best to best the high tide especially in the inlet.
