One of the few major cities of the state that isn’t located directly on the coast, just the fact that it is still considered a major spot for fishing is a testament to how great of a location it is. Located in the center of the Florida peninsula, Orlando is one of the state’s biggest cities, and certainly one of its major cultural centers. Home to professional sports teams, major businesses, world-renowned cultural attractions, and entertainment options, Orlando is also a short ride to the coastline. Deep sea fishing in Orlando is still a popular activity, and it acts as a great home base for a angling trip. You can go yourself or find a company to take you out to the water, and spend all day or night on the Atlantic, then come back to the city and have a great time. With access to all of the same fishing advantages as you’d see on the coast line, plus everything you’d expect of a major cultural metropolis, Orlando is a destination that all anglers need to see.
Centrally located
The biggest advantage of this city is that you can jump in a car, and be at the coastline in no time. Only a little over an hour away lies some beautiful Atlantic coastline, and the deep waters of the ocean. If you want to stay in one of the smaller cities on the coast, you won’t really be able to experience everything that a metropolis the size of Orlando can offer. Even the West Coast of Florida isn’t so far away if you want to try both sides. Add in that Walt Disney World, perhaps the world’s most famous park is located in the city, and that other famous national parks, and lakes are right outside the city, and you can see why tourists swarm this place every year for outdoor adventures.
Orlando still has everything to offer that the cities on the coast do when it comes to fishing. Not only that but it is full of cultural and entertainment possibilities as well. This makes it a must for anyone traveling down south to do some fishing.
