Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The bite is all on small Stripers in the back bays and beaches. There are a few keepers here and there however they aren’t consistent yet. Artificial Swim Shads, Rattletraps and Buck Tails are all working well to hook them. White or Chartreuse are key colors. There are great numbers of shorts. Bluefish haven’t quite shown up yet. Small Dogfish (Dogfish, Spiny) are running the beach. Fenwick Tackle has plenty of live bait in store! Stop in and stock up!

INSHORE – Things are beginning to fire up in the area as the weather warms up. The Striper fishing is picking up, especially in the Indian River Inlet along with 3Rs Road. Stripers are up to 22 inches. They are also swimming up and down the beaches as well. Whales Breaching and Gannets swarming usually means the bait is out there. The Round Pole bridge is holding plenty of Perch (Surf Perch) as well. You can also find them in the river and the ditch. We are looking good for a great season ahead!

INSHORE – Small Stripers (Bass, Striped) are mixed with few keepers as the season fires up. If you are fishing from a boat head out for a bit bigger sizes. Bunker has been the best method to hook them so far. It won’t be long before the bite becomes consistent and anglers will be taking advantage.

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – During the Winter season most the migratory fish have left the area and the variety of fish available in State waters are slim. Some anglers are still targeting Tautog offshore and Stripers inshore. There are not many boats left on the water over winter but the local tackle shops can always point you in the right direction if you are looking to get offshore this winter. As we find varying weather conditions from day to day we encourage all anglers to stay safe and warm when fishing. This is a great opportunity to check out some of the current Pro Angler App features along with new additions coming soon. We look forward to bringing you more great Pro Reports when the bite fires back up.

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Happy 2017 Anglers! Things are beginning to slow down a bit now that January has arrived. Many anglers are turning towards freshwater for Pickerel, Bass and White Perch. Flounder are scarce. Sea Bass (Sea Bass, Black) is now catch and release only. The second phase of Stripers (Bass, Striped) have arrived in New Jersey so we hope to see them move down at some point soon. Don’t forget to renew your fishing license before you head out this year!

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The recent weather has made fishing tough for anglers this week. We still expect to find some Sea Bass (Sea Bass, Black) throughout the inshore if anglers are able to make it on the water. They are usually beyond 20 fathoms. Search structure to find them. There may even be some Tautog mixed in. Generally stripped Squid or Clams work well to hook them and this bait should be particularly successful with all the weather lately. The Indian River Inlet has been slow as well. If you can find sheltered areas or calm conditions you may be able to hit the water for a scattered Rockfish (Bass, Striped) bite. Bucktails have been best to hook them in recent weeks. The surf has been too blown out as of late for fishing. Into the Delaware Bay we hope to see the Rockfish (Bass, Striped) continue to be caught when conditions lie down. Anglers can also head to the rips for a good catch. There may be some White Perch (Surfperch, Sand) holding up in the upper bay. Search the tidal rivers and creeks which may provide some shelter. The Woodland Beach and Port Mahon Piers may also be holding a few good fish. Bloodworms are your best bet to hook them. We hope to see more ideal fishing conditions in time for the holidays and we look forward to bringing you more reports in the New Year! Wishing you a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from the Pro Angler Team!

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – There are still some large Stripers (Bass, Striped) being caught in our tournament. There’s Fish Off between the two anglers tied for first until the 15th of December. The fish are being caught in Delaware Bay. To the South there were some stripers knee deep. Anglers were catching them two at a time around 30 lbs. Some anglers are heading over to Fenwick Island as well. Mojos and Stretch 25s are working well to hook them on the troll. Eels are working well, drifted or trolling through the rips. The area around Cape Henlopen is holding tons of birds with fish underneath. It’s generally a great area to fish this time of year. There are still Tautog biting around the haystacks, site 10 and 11, and the inner walls. Sea Bass (Sea Bass, Black) are biting around the Del-Jersey-Land reef. The sizes are pretty good from the Radford section of the reef.

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Big Stripers (Bass, Striped) around 30 lbs are biting in the Delaware Bay. There is a record pending for a 62 lb fish. Using Mojos, Stretches, Bucktails and Eels are your best bet. Cast, troll or drift the rips in the Delaware Bay. Big Tautog are on the wrecks and outer wall. We hope to see some of these fish on the surf with the recent North East wind. They are about half to three quarters of a mile off the beach. Up the bay towards the river things are a bit slow. Head to the mouth of the Delaware bay around 8A, 8B and Overfall Shoals. Trolling out of Indian River Inlet head South in front of Sea Colony to Fenwick where you can hit them along the beach. Look for birds, whales and Bunker. Sea Bass (Sea Bass, Black) are on the Radford Wreck and Del-Jersey-Land Reef. With the recent winds it has been a little difficult to get out.

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The water is boiling with huge, plentiful Stripers (Bass, Striped) just offshore. They are just past the border in federal waters but are heading this way! Anglers are eager to see them move in. Right now, the mouth of the Delaware Bay has produced some good fish. There has been some 40lb fish caught scattered throughout the Bay. Larger Tautog are on reef sites including Site 10, Site 11, the Outer Wall along with the rocks at the Indian River inlet. TWe even weighed in a Tog that was 10.2lbs. We hope to see this bite continue into the weekend.

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Anglers have had a hard time getting on the water as it’s been blown out. Short Stripers (Bass, Striped) have turned up along with a few Bluefish. Bucktails and storm lures will work well to hook the Bass. Tautog are doing well overall when you can get to some further off structure. We expect some nicer weather for the weekend.

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – The piers are holding Tautog and smaller Stripers (Bass, Striped). We are still waiting for the bigger Bass to move in. The Stripers are biting better at night during high tide. Tautog are more productive during the day when the sun is shining.
OFFSHORE – We are seeing a lot of Tautog and Sea Bass (Sea Bass, Black) this week. They are biting during the day all the way out to the Radford.
BAIT REPORT – Most of the Bunker (Menhaden) have moved out at this point.

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – Tautog are biting closer to shore. They are on Site 10, Lewes and Fenwick. When anglers can get out in boats the Sea Bass (Sea Bass, Black) are biting well. Bigger Stripers (Bass, Striped) are making their way in. There have been some big fish found 8 miles out and schooled up. Still most anglers are staying inshore as the offshore has been a little rough most days.
BAIT REPORT – Bunker (Menhaden) are around for bait this week.

Rehoboth Beach / Dewey Beach Fishing Report
INSHORE – During the day the inlet is holding short Bluefish and Shad during the incoming tide. We are seeing double headers on Speck Rigs. There’s also some Tog (Tautog) to be caught at the inlet. At night we are seeing mostly short Stripers (Bass, Striped) with a few small Red Drum (Drum, Red) and Weakfish mixed in. 4 Inch Sassy Shads on a leadhead is working best. A few more keeper Stripers are starting to show on DAIWA SP Minnows at night too. On the beach we are seeing short, small Bluefish, Stripers and Drum.
OFFSHORE – Offshore has been quiet due to the wind. Anglers are looking for Sea Bass (Sea Bass, Black). Anglers are just beginning to get back out during the day using a heavy Spro Bucktail with a 6 inch Squid strip.
