INSHORE – Whiting (Kingfish, Southern) and Redfish (Drum, Red) are swimming the surf. Flounder (Flounder, Southern) and Reds are also swimming the intracoastal. Look for mud bottom as the fish will head to the warmer areas. The darker bottom hold the heat better. Shrimp has been more productive to hook them in the ICW while Cut Mullet is a better choice from the surf.

INSHORE – A lot of Trout and Redfish are coming off the surf this week. The wind has picked up recently so this might make anglers hesitant to hit the water, and mix up the fish a bit. Anglers can always head to the backwater to Christmas Bay or Drum Bay for some shelter. Most of the fish are in less than 6 ft.

INSHORE – Dead Shrimp is catching Redfish (Drum, Red) this week. They seem to be varied in size. The Trout (Seatrout, Spotted) and Flounder (Flounder, Southern) are mixed in. The Trout aren’t very big but anglers can focus on the jetties to catch some great numbers. There is the odd big fish mixed in. The morning and late afternoon bite has been most productive.
